Announcements

Thanks to all of you who supported Murray Hill Weaving during 2016.  We were proud of the line-up of Visiting Artists we had and the Artisan Open House in October was a total success, in spite of the weather.  We welcomed artists from the past and had several new folks here that added to the great variety of fine art at our annual event.

This New Year is getting off to a great start and we hope you will take advantage of what we have to offer.  Our featured teacher for the year is Anne Bowers.  It’s always a delight to welcome Anne back.  She is coming from the great state of West Virginia to help you make either her Multi-Colored Rib Basket or Church’s Oval Double Wall Basket.  Each basket is a great piece of art and learning experience, made of the highest quality products.  She will be with us Thurs.-Sat, May 11 – 13, 2017 and if you know anything about this lady, you know her classes fill quickly.

Friday, June 2, 2017 we are pleased that Jennifer Lee is returning to us from western MA.  Jennifer is of Narragansett & Pequot Ancestry and is an independent student of American Indian history and culture.  She always brings a mystical and gentle quality to her classes as she instructs/educates you on the Native American style baskets, made from white pine or ash bark.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity.

Joining us again from upstate New York, Linda Scherz Allen will be here Saturday & Sunday, July 15 & 16, 2017.  As always Linda is one of our special Visiting Artists that always has surprises in store.  Linda is famous for her waxed linen baskets check out her classes for pictures of them.  It’s always a special event you’re in class with Linda and a truly unique learning experience.

There will be more classes offered at Murray Hill Weaving as spring approaches (and stays).  In the meantime you can also find me teaching at the following:
