SOMETHING NEW AT MURRAY HILL WEAVING!
Journals are so unique and personal. Now you can make your own woven journal by spending a few hours with me. Each journal will be individual and whimsical as you spend time embellishing with stamps, tags for notes, pockets, photographs and drawings. Students are urged to bring things from home such as ribbons, family photos, special letters you’ve saved, buttons, stamps, colored markers or pens.
In just a few hours, I’ll help you create your first mini journal. What will make your journal unique is that you will weave a pattern out of decorative papers.
After choosing from an array of colored and patterned papers, learn a very basic weaving pattern and adhere your woven piece to chipboard.
Once your journal covers are complete, you will insert pages and have time to embellish the inside and outside of your journal. It’s all held together with ring binders, allowing you to add more pages, photos, or memorabilia at will.
Please bring to class scissors, straight edge, a hole punch and a cutting mat.
